Sheakhala Anandam Institution (“Sheakhala Anandam Institution”, “our” or “we”) is committed to protecting your and your child’s privacy, which is why we have adopted this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy lets you know how and for what purposes your and your child’s personal information is being collected, processed and used.  We pledge that we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your and your child’s personal information will only be used in ways that comply with this Privacy Policy.  As used in this Privacy Policy, “child” shall mean child or children, as applicable, and shall refer to each of your children and/or any of your children, as applicable.
This Privacy Policy is in effect for the collective non‑user-specific information and personal information received, collected and/or owned by Sheakhala Anandam institution, including information provided to Sheakhala Anandam Institution.  Your use of any web pages, mobile applications, third party social media sites, email lists, online features, services and/or programs offered by Sheakhala Anandam Institution (collectively, the “Website”) is governed by this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy is not applicable to any other web pages, mobile applications, third party social media sites, email lists, collective non‑user-specific information and collective personal information collected and/or owned by any entity other than Sheakhala Anandam Institution. 


TYPES OF INFORMATION SHEAKHALA ANANDAM INSTITUTION COLLECTS OR RECEIVES

Website Information Collected
Sheakhala Anandam Institution may collect two types of information when you visit or use the Website: contact information and usage information.


Contact Information
Contact information refers to the information that you intentionally provide to us when you submit a request to be contacted.  This information may include your name, address, phone number, email address, child’s name and child’s date of birth, as well as any other information that you may voluntarily provide through the Website.  We collect this information for purposes of responding to requests for more information about Sheakhala Anandam Institution and, if you enroll at Sheakhala Anandam Institution, for the other purposes described herein.


Usage Information
Sheakhala Anandam Institution may obtain non-individualized, generic information about you when you visit the Website.


Browser Log Files
Our servers automatically log each visitor to the Website and collect and record certain information about each visitor.  This information includes or may include your “Internet Protocol”, or IP, address, browser language, browser type, operating system, domain names, browsing history (including time spent at a domain, time and date of your visit), referring/exit web pages and URLs, and number of clicks.  The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about the user other than the IP address from which the user has accessed the Website.  We may use this information to examine our traffic in the aggregate, but do not collect and evaluate this information for individuals.


Cookies

Web Beacons
Some of our web pages and electronic communications may contain electronic images known as Web Beacons (sometimes referred to as “clear gifs”). Web Beacons collect only limited information that includes a cookie number; time and date of a page view; and a description of the page on which the Web Beacon resides.  We may also carry Web Beacons placed by third party advertisers.  These Web Beacons do not carry any personally identifiable information and are only used to track usage of the Website and activities associated with the Website.


Unique Identifier
We assign you a unique internal identifier to help keep track of your future visits.  We use this information to gather aggregate demographic information about our visitors, and we use it to personalize the information you see on the Website and some of the electronic communications you receive from us.  We keep this information for our internal use, and this information is not shared with others.  This information is in no way tied to your personal information, including your email address.


Third Party Opt Out
Although we do not at the time this Privacy Policy was last updated (see end of Privacy Policy for last date of update), we may allow third-party companies to serve advertisements and/or collect certain anonymous information when you visit the Website. These companies may use non-personally identifiable information (including, but not limited to, click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over) during your visits to the Website in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of greater interest to you. These companies typically use a cookie or third party Web Beacon to collect this information, as further described above. Through these technologies, the third party may have access to and use non-personalized information about your online usage activity.
You can opt-out of certain online behavioral services through any one of the ways described below (you do not need to go to each opt-out site, one is sufficient). After you opt-out, you will continue to receive advertisements, but those advertisements will no longer be as relevant to you.

Note: If you opt-out as described above, you should not delete your cookies.  If you delete your cookies, you will need to opt-out again.


USE OF INFORMATION
Information collected or received by Sheakhala Anandam Institution is used for five main purposes.  First, we collect information to provide you services and improve your and your child’s experience with Sheakhala Anandam Institution, as well as the Website.  Second, we may now or in the future collect information to personalize the experience of the users of the Website.  Third, we collect information to communicate with you and to inform you about the products and services of Sheakhala Anandam Institution.  Fourth, we use information collected about and from parents and students at Sheakhala Anandam Institution, and visitors to the Website, for our internal business purposes (e.g., business planning, program development and future school initiatives).  Finally, we may collect or otherwise receive information about you or your child for the purpose of giving you additional information about Sheakhala Anandam Institution.

Choices With Your Personal Information
Whether you submit personally identifiable information about you or your child to Sheakhala Anandam Institution is entirely up to you.  You may decide not to submit to us personally identifiable information about you or your child to Sheakhala Anandam Institution, in which case Sheakhala Anandam Institution may not be able to provide certain services to you.


You may choose to prevent Sheakhala Anandam Institution from disclosing, storing or using your or your child’s personally identifiable information under certain circumstances (“opt out”).  You may opt out of certain disclosure, storage or use of your or your child’s personally identifiable information for purposes that are incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or for which you subsequently gave authorization by notifying us by one of the methods at the end of this Privacy Policy, or by following the procedures set forth in an electronic communication from us, if applicable.  There are some uses from which you cannot opt-out, such as our use, storage and/or disclosure of your or your child’s personally identifiable information in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.  As long as one or more of your children are students at Sheakhala Anandam Institution, you also may not opt out of us using your children’s personally identifiable information to the extent reasonably necessary (in our sole discretion) for us to provide services to you and your children.


You may opt out of online behavioral advertising by following the instructions set forth above under the above section “Usage Information,” subsection “Third Party Opt Out.”


Access and Correction
To access your or your child’s personal information in the possession of Sheakhala Anandam Institution and correct inaccuracies of that information in our records, please contact us in the manner specified at the end of this Privacy Policy.  We ask individuals to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed and amended before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests in limited circumstances as permitted by our then current business practices and/or applicable laws, rules and regulations.


Information from Children
Through the Website
The Website is not intended or designed to attract children under the age of thirteen (13).  We do not use the Website to collect personally identifiable data from any person that we know to be under the age of thirteen (13) and we are in full compliance with the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), as well as any and all other applicable privacy laws, rules and regulations.


Notwithstanding anything in this Privacy Policy to the contrary, the sole circumstances under which we would knowingly receive personal information about a child through the Website are instances where the child’s parents/guardians provide that information.


Outside of the Website
Sheakhala Anandam Institution and our service providers do receive information about your children as a part of offering and providing you and your children our services.  By applying for enrollment or enrolling your child at Sheakhala Anandam Institution, you expressly agree that Sheakhala Anandam Institution, and our service providers, will necessarily receive certain personal information about and from your child.  As a result of the foregoing described receipt and use of information about your child, you agree:


(1)   This Privacy Policy shall serve as notice to you regarding our information practices with regard to children, including the types of personal information we may collect or receive from your child (through the Website or otherwise), the uses to which we may put that information, and whether and with whom we may share that information.


(2)   You have and hereby consent to the collection of personal information from your child (in any manner, including, but not limited to, inadvertent or unauthorized disclosure through the Website).


(3)   We have notified you that you have the right to request access to the personal information we at such time have collected from your child and the ability to request that such personal information be changed or deleted.
We do not currently engage in any marketing activities to your child through the Website.  To the extent there is any change in the foregoing practice, such change will be posted to this Privacy Policy.  To be clear, Sheakhala Anandam Institution treats privacy as a top priority, especially any information about your child.


You affirm that you are either more than eighteen (18) years of age, or an emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in this Privacy Policy, and to abide by and comply with this Privacy Policy. In any case, you affirm that you are over the age of thirteen (13), as THE WEBSITE IS NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13 WHO ARE UNACCOMPANIED BY THEIR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.


Parents and legal guardians should be aware that Sheakhala Anandam Institution’s Privacy Policy will govern our use of personal data, but also that information that is voluntarily given by children or others in email exchanges, bulletin boards or the like may be used by other parties to generate unsolicited communications.  Sheakhala Anandam Institution encourages all parents and legal guardians to instruct their children in the safe and responsible use of their personal data while using the Internet.
